Review

This was a very cool event. There were limited tickets sold so it was not overcrowded. The walkway leading to the convention hall had some cool posters hanging. Once you arrived to the area there was a cash bar (typical bar prices). There was an area with different cheeses and a cracker/bread assortment with fruit. There was also event staff walking around with food trays and it was all delicious. Once you moved to the next room that is where the fun started. This is where the Warren's Occult Museum was. They had a good amount of relics and haunted items on display.

Movie Annabelle Doll Vampire Coffin Satanic Idol Shadow Doll

Child's Coffin Necromonicin Book Conjuring Mirror

Toy Dinosaur Fire Doll Satanic Ritual Skull

Hannah Cranna Lady in White "Goody" Bassett

New England Witch Doll The Devil's Sword

While this was all interesting these were all warm-up items for lack of better words. The reason everyone had showed up for this is the real haunted Annabelle doll. The doll that sparked the making of The Conjuring and Annabelle movies. While each item was behind rope Annabelle had a guard there at all times. It is stored in a locked and sealed case with various forms of protection such as crosses and tarot cards. The doll itself is way more basic than what you see in the films. It is a Raggedy Ann Doll which I found interesting. I'm not going to lie standing in the same room with this doll is a little creepy. Standing next to is was even worse. If you believe in the paranormal or not there is a lot of bad things that have happened which revolve around the doll. Call it paranormal or coincidence. Either way things happen near this doll.

Here is a video of the entire case minus the back. They were not letting anyone that close to see the back.

One very cool thing were the guests. This event was very casual. They were all very friendly and approachable. The genuinely wanted to talk with the fans. Tony Spera was all over the place talking to people, signing autographs, and answering questions. For a guy who is responsible for the real Annabelle doll he was very relaxed. His wife Judy was also in the building and she was a very nice lady. She is directly related to the Warren's (their daughter). Another notable guest in attendance was Arne Johnson. For those who do not know who he is, he is the person that The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It was made after.

Overall this was a great event. You got to spend some real time talking with the celebrities here and asking them whatever you wanted. Like I said they were all very friendly and genuinely took in interest in each and every person they came across. You also had the chance to observe the Occult Museum in a less crowded environment. Each display had a description which you were able to read without anyone pushing and being on top of you. I initially thought that the ticket prices were very steep. $125 for a 3 hour event is a lot. Now after going to the event I can say it was worth every cent.

Below you will find a small gallery of photos from the event.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's review of the Paracon event.
